About the role

The International Chiropractic Clinic (ICC) is looking for a professional translator of English-Khmer to join our clinics in Phnom Penh, to serve as our clinic’s translator/chiropractor assistant.
In this position, you will greet patients from the waiting area, ready to see the chiropractor.
In addition, you will be responsible for answering and transferring patient’s queries during consultations to doctors and managing doctor’s responses, managing the patient’s understanding, managing the patient’s concerns raised, and managing other medical documents by the patients for the doctors during consultation.
As a translator/chiropractor assistant, you will be responsible for performing other assigned duties while undergoing patients’ consultation and participating in other ICC’s events when needed.
Translate from Khmer to English or vice versa during consultation periods of doctors with patients Manage patients’ when the patients arrive at the clinic Setting up patients on traction machines or blocks, when necessary.
Guide the patient to the therapy treatment after seeing the doctor.
Assisting doctors with patient flow.
Help handle some treatment equipment, asked by the doctor, during the patient’s adjustment.
Any other tasks as defined by the doctor, when necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in English / a minimum of a 2 year experience in translation in a professional setting Prior experience in translation both written and oral Be able to use computer literacy (MS. Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and Email) Attention to detail and accuracy Friendly and approachable, with a willingness to learn Interested in health and well-being Able to independently or in a team in achieving desired stated company objectives Be able to under pressure and overtime Good communication, organizational, time management, and other interal skills Be punctual, flexible, honest, friendly, and open minded to learn new things.
Tolerant and patient with excellent problem-solving skills.
