Our client is a leading international consumer goods and construction materials company, providing solutions to Cambodia's homeowners and industrial players.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Credit Controller is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, ensuring timely payments, and reducing financial risk to the business. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow and strong client relationships through effective credit policies and proactive collection practices

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and proactively manage credit status to minimize risk.
  • Implement strategies to lower credit costs by controlling risks of non-payment, late payments, and new accounts.
  • Develop and present credit recommendations for potential customers using Business Development Manager input.
  • Ensure AR system and data integrity by analyzing IFS reports to improve accounting processes.
  • Prepare AR financial reports and support monthly closing using IFS to reduce DSO and manage credit risk.
  • Manage customer receivables and drive collection targets by monitoring payment behavior and enforcing credit terms for a healthy portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Sales on credit evaluations, provide account information, and support their collection planning.
  • Manage collection legal proceedings and coordinate timely tax document collection. Report AR risk exposure and provide credit/collection insights to Management.
  • Assist the Finance Manager by preparing quarterly and annual customer rebates.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in credit control, collections, or financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and financial documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Khmer and English.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Experience in real estate or the property sector is an advantage.
