ABOUT THE ROLE:

A Windows Engineer/C# Developer will be responsible for creating and managing robust Windows desktop applications. This role is key to building reliable and fast software for the company's main business platforms and systems like POS, overseeing the entire application lifecycle from design to deployment and ensuring applications function seamlessly both online and offline.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET Core, and WinForms.
• Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement robust data storage and offline support utilizing PostgreSQL as the primary database.
• Integrate real-time processing and messaging capabilities using ActiveMQ or comparable message brokers.
• Integrate desktop applications with backend APIs and ensure seamless data synchronization.
• Provide support for integrating peripheral hardware such as receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers.
• Write and execute thorough unit and integration tests to guarantee application reliability and optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues across various Windows OS versions.
• Package and deploy desktop applications efficiently using tools like ClickOnce, Inno Setup, or MSIX.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering application features, installation steps, and system dependencies.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Windows desktop application development.
• Strong experience in UI development using Windows Forms (WinForms) with C# and .NET Framework/Core.
• Proficiency in desktop application architecture, including multithreading and performance optimization.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including writing optimized SQL queries, and familiarity with Entity Framework Core.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in POS systems, encompassing both hardware integration and software behavior.
