Description

Provide strategic technical leadership and oversight for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and emergency response initiatives related to the RISE project.
Work closely with the Senior Provincial Officer and provide direct technical support to partners' RISE Provincial Coordinators to build community capacities and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
Integrate local disaster risk reduction and preparedness plans into broader development plans, ensuring communities can quickly activate emergency responses to floods, droughts, and other natural disasters.
Ensure that RISE project activities and emergency response activities are implemented in accordance with World Renew's safeguarding policies, accountability commitments, and social inclusion principles.
Serve as the principal focal point for coordination with the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) and sub-national authorities.
Lead disaster situation assessments, formulates rapid response recommendations in alignment with policy frames, and spearhead the development of disaster response funding proposals.
Coordinate annual planning and budgeting with staff and partners to align project activities and resources with approved objectives.

Requirements

Degree in Disaster Management, Development Studies, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in DRR, climate resilience, humanitarian response, or community development.
Experience managing donor-funded projects, preferably U.S.
Government-funded programs.
Strong stakeholder engagement, project management, and capacity-building skills.
Excellent English and Khmer communication skills.
